Meet Dan Slegar. Dan has been a member of Troop 3 since 2019.

Q: Dan, what is your background with scouting?
“I was the former Cubmaster for Pack 183 in Louisa, VA before coming to Troop 3 and volunteering as the Assistant Scoutmaster. I am a Member of the Order of the Arrow.”

Q: What about your family?
“My son, Jon, is an Eagle Scout with Troop3 and Anna is a Silver Award Girl Scout.”

Q: When it comes to training, what are a few of the trainings you have received during your time Scouts?
“IOLS, Safety Afloat, and others.”

Q: What are your favorite things about Scouting?
“I love hiking, kayaking, camping, and spending time with scouts.”

Q: What are a few of you professional achievements?
“I am a US Navy veteran, I have a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering Technology, and I am a Nuclear Operator for Dominion Energy.”

Q: What do you do outside of Scouting?
“Home repairs, car maintenance, gardening, and traveling.”
