WHAT: Summer Camp 2023

WHEN: June 25th – July 1st, 2023

WHERE: Camp Daniel Boone – 3647 Little East Fork Road, Canton, North Carolina 28716

WHY: Because summer camp is awesome!

Troop 3/1003 is officially registered for the 3rd week of summer camp at Camp Daniel Boone, in Canton, North Carolina. Week 3 is from June 25-July 1, 2023.

This is a very diverse camp, and we have never traveled here before for summer camp!

I would like every camper to have the opportunity to attend summer camp, and because of that, I am sending this information out early so that families can plan appropriately.

Payment Schedule:

  1. January 15, 2023: 1/3 of camp fee due.
  2. March 15, 2023:  2/3 of camp fee due – all camp fees must be paid before Scouts can be registered for merit badges. Any scouts not up to date at this point are at risk of being dropped from the registration process.
  3. May 15, 2023: 3/3 final payment due – a late fee of $25 will be charged if not paid by this date.

All parents will receive a Square invoice that they can pay online prior to the due date or you can visit the Troop Dues & Fees Portal here: https://www.bsatroop3.com/about-us/dues-and-fees-portal/. If you choose to pay in full, you will not receive the square link. Refunds: Fees are refundable until May 8, 2023 less your deposit. After that date, the fees are transferable, but not refundable.

Registration: Any adults accompanying a Scout troop to resident camp must be a registered leader within the unit. So, if you plan on attending camp with your child, you will need to be registered with Troop 3/1003 at recharter. RSVPs are currently handled via the Square payment option meaning that your payment will act as your RSVP.

Medical: All participants are required to have a physical and completed parts A, B and C of the BSA Medical Form. You can find form 680-001_ABC here: https://www.bsatroop3.com/annual-health-and-medical-record/

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. We will finalize high adventure selections prior to the first payment in January. If your scout is interested in attending, please have them look at the choices.

I have attached a copy of the High Adventure book to this post.

Yours in Scouting,
